Gladius

153'

12 guests, 9 crew

This brand new 2010 Cantieri di Pisa is the first of the Akhir 153 range; it provides great space and comfort without compromising on the speed or lines of the previous Akhir designs.  With flexible accommodation for 12 guests in 6/7 cabins, Mark Berryman of Mark Berryman Design Ltd has created a natural, modern design interior with finishes of limed teak panels and leather. Bathrooms are finished in marble, timber and teak.
The Owner’s full beam suite is located on main deck offering great ocean views. This spacious and sumptuous cabin is entered through the Owner’s office and offers 'his' and 'hers' bathrooms with two separate walk-in wardrobes.
The VIP cabin also takes full advantage of the beam with a relaxation area complete with sofa and desk. Like the master cabin the VIP has ‘his’ and ‘hers’ shower rooms with separate dressing areas. The cabin can be converted into a separate double cabin via a sound proof sliding door. The sofa converts into a double bed and this extra cabin has its own shower room and dressing area.  The remaining cabins consist of two double cabins and two twins each with a Pullman.  GLADIUS’ main saloon is designed to be a versatile space with a bar and separate music/library area complete with an electric piano. Forward of the main saloon is the dining saloon which accommodates 12 for formal dining. The sky lounge however is where the most innovative element of the Akhir 153 design is evident; port and starboard doors slide back to provide outside access and the bulwark folds down either side to create a balcony and fantastic 180 degree view from inside the sky lounge.
GLADIUS boasts generous deck spaces with a sundeck complete with jacuzzi, barbecue, sun loungers and pad, bar and cocktail area.
